The

Student Startup Showcase

about

The KU Entrepreneurship Club's Student Startup Showcase is the meeting ground between business professionals and aspiring student entrepreneurs. We are hosting this event to not only show off some of the finest innovators and ideas at the University, but to give them the exposure they deserve. We believe that exposure leads to opportunity and our goal as an organization is to give our members as many opportunities to succeed as possible. If you are interested in meeting with any of these bright minds, hop in their links below during their designated times. The event will start off with a quick introduction from the Club and guest speaker, Brian McClendon, on November 21 at 12 PM, so mark your calendars and don't miss out!

interactive-mechanics

Description:

Technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we teach, particularly in today's world. Interactive-Mechanics utilizes adaptive computer vision to create a mixed reality online learning experience. The founding mission is to help teach Mechanical Engineering Principles in The University of Kansas' Mechanics of Materials class. The program allows students to physically manipulate a foam beam and virtually change characteristics about that beam to display the internal forces and stresses experienced. Interactive-Mechanics is now live, no download or installation necessary thanks to the lightweight cross-compatible design utilizing AWS Cloud resources and local video processing to maintain security. If you're interested in learning more or seeing the technology, we would love to talk!

link up

Description:

Imagine the day you started college or the first day you started a new job. How did you feel starting this new chapter in life not knowing anyone? What if you could start networking with people before that first day. Often times it can be scary entering a new place, with Link up you already have networks that will make you feel more comfortable taking on this new endeavor. Link up is the next biggest innovation that will be able to network people to establish strong connections and growth. School and work will be accelerating in growth and productivity with this app.

Bizchill

Description:

My app idea will revolutionize the way young entrepreneurs network and communicate with each other. LinkedIn is a boring app that we have to use to network with business professionals. Entrepreneurship has been rising in popularity with the younger generation. There is no app in the market place that is for young entrepreneurs to network. I do not have a working prototype yet. This is just an idea I'm passionate about. You will be able to connect with young entrepreneurs in the local area and across the world.
